🧰 Nonprofit Tool Finder

Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

Short version: Your quiz answers stay in your browser. We don't collect them. No accounts, no tracking pixels, no email capture.

What this tool does

The Nonprofit Tool Finder is a quiz that recommends free tools based on your nonprofit's size, budget, and needs. It runs entirely in your browser — your answers never touch our servers.

Data we collect

We collect nothing. No names, no emails, no quiz answers.

Your browser's local storage

After you complete the quiz, your answers are saved to your browser's localStorage (similar to cookies, but not sent to any server). This lets you return to your results without re-taking the quiz. The data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share your results link.

You can delete this data at any time by clicking "Clear my saved data" at the bottom of your results page, or by clearing your browser's site data.

Shared results links

If you click "Share results," the site generates a URL that encodes some of your quiz answers (excluding your org name and faith-based status). Anyone with that link can see those answers. We don't store a copy — the data lives only in the URL.

Third-party services

This page uses a few external services. Here's what each one sees:

We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other behavioral tracking tool.

Cookies

We don't set any cookies. We use localStorage (see above) which is local to your browser and not transmitted to any server.

EU/California users

If you're in the EU or California: we process no personal data about you beyond what third-party services listed above may collect through standard web server logs. You have the right to clear your localStorage data at any time (instructions above).
